Like the weather outside my Atlanta apartment. Like the story of my life.

Smile.

Smile.

It really amazes me…

Humanity’s capacity of beauty.

Freedom.

Read this a long time ago… but now I’m re-reading it.

I forgot many of the things I’ve learned from this book…

Key West Vacation

The trip in itself was indescribably awesome… and tons of stories can be told… just about our time out there in the Keys of Florida… like how I’m still aching from the 2 & half hour jet-ski ride around Key West… and the crab I caught accidentally that was the size of my face… or the small fishes that were caught by my dad…

But the greatest part of the already-amazing-vacation… was the drive back.

Me and pops started to talk about our families history and how my grandmother and grandfather came to meet each other… and a lot of other really awesome details, like the childhood life of my mom and dad and my aunts and uncles. And as some of my family’s history was shed, so were a lot of emotions. And as a lot of emotions were shed… I caught glimpses of my parents’ past… and the compassion that they have for our family… and the amount of love they harbor in their hearts.

Words could never fully describe to those who weren’t there to witness the beauty of a revealing conversation between mother, father, and son…

But I can tell you that I thank God for the vacation I just took, both because it was unbelievably fun, and because now I know that the bond between me and my parents is unbreakable in all aspects… and that God has blessed me beyond reason… with parents, grandparents, and family that will stand by their child/grandchild/nephew no matter the distance… no matter the cost… no matter the circumstance.

I saw a glimpse of You’re unconditional love today.

Capitalism and Corporate America at their finest.

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of Capitalism is amazing, and frankly, I think it gives the American people a lot of opportunities and things that, with any other system of economy, we’d be lost without.

However, you cannot deny that some of the bi-products of Capitalism… is somewhat… troublesome… for the human spirit.
